Alexandre Gama is a creative professional and an entrepreneur who has specialized in the advertising and communication sector. Alexandre Gama is the founder, CCO, and CEO of Neogama, which is an advertising agency that ranks among the top 20 in Brazil. Gama is the first Brazilian to manage an international agencies network acting as the Global Chief Creative Officer of BBH, an agency network based in British. He is also the only Brazilian who is a member of Publicis Groupe, a committee comprised of six international creative leaders of the international holding company.
How Gama Started Out
Alexandre Gama obtained his Advertising and Communications degree from Armando. In 1982, he started his advertising career at the Standard Ogilvy and Mather working as a copywriter. He later moved to DM9 and worked as a director of Copywriter and Creative. He worked with this firm for four years. It was during this period that Gama became the most awarded copywriter in Brazil. He also worked with other agencies such as Young & Rubicam and Almap BBDO.
In 1999, Gama founded his firm, Neogama. His entry into ABAP as a board member in 2012 saw him support and promote the best practices of Brazil’s communications industry.
Besides being an advertising and communication person, Alexandre Gama also takes an active role in the music industry. He founded and launched the VIOLAB, which is a project that includes a recording studio, a radio program, a YouTube channel, and a recording label. VIOLAB aims at promoting Brazilians acoustic guitar players and musicians.
