Alex Pall Dance Music

The chainsmokers, made of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart released their song ‘Closer’ featuring Halsey, an incredible and unique artist, and Andrew was singing in it. This was unusual as compared to their previous songs. The duo depends on vocalists and songwriter to bring the human element to their well created electronic soundscape. The pair wants to personalise their kind of music and be known as true artists having thoughts and feelings instead of beat makers in a DJ booth.

Alex Pall grew up DJing in New York as his hobby but had a little career at the side although he wanted to give dance music a shot. At his work place, there was this kid who also worked for the manager, the same manager they currently have, who told Andrew about the Chainsmokers. Andrew moved from Maine, and Alex quit his job, and they started working together.

Alex Pall knew it would work out the first time he met Andrew Taggart. They both knew what they were good at; they talked a lot about the music industry: what they liked when growing up, who was making it in the industry and who wasn’t, how they wanted to work it out and what their identity will be. They worked daily on their music and identity pushing themselves to be better artists and make more music that people relate to at a deeper level.

Being a DJ duo and in the electronic genre is not so easy to build an identity for oneself as most people create duplicate music sounding as the original but then they managed this by deciding not to create straight-up dance music. Being music fans, they agreed not to limit themselves, and that’s how they came up with ‘Waterbed’, ‘Roses’ and ‘Don’t let me down’. The duo also writes songs about themselves and for an album they would want a collection of that which represents them.

Alex pall thanks the social networks like Instagram that enables them to know the kind of people connecting with their music. This is basically everyone, boys and girls regardless of age or what one looks like. With the growing audience, the duo has more self-pushing to do and to be more exciting. This they cover by having festivals and mixing the DJ shows with the videos of the live show. They believe in being at the front overcoming new boundaries and making people have new experiences.
